I created an action to resize pictures, and it worked fine. The first time. Every time I try to run it from a different source folder, it errors cause it wants to find the file from the original action setup.

In the action, the Open, file lists the original file that I used to create the action, and I’m assuming that is why the action doesn’t work.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Paul:

Option A:
* Take the Open command out of the action. Open the image first, then play the action.

Option B:
* Delete the Open command from the action.
* From the action palette menu, select "insert menu item" * Choose File > Open

When the action plays, the Open dialog will display and the File Name text box will be blank.

Option C (assuming you have a number of images to resize – the same size) * Create a new folder for the processed images \Destination * Turn off any Open or Save commands in the action
* Click on the action name
* File > Automate > Batch – The action to be applied should be selected. If not, select it – Select Source/Folder
– Choose Source
– Select Destination/Folder
– Choose Destination (\Destination, the one you just created) – OK

This will apply your action to all the images in the folder specified in the Source dialog and place the processed (resized) images in the folder specified in the Destination dialog.

You’ve got Options! 🙂

Hope this helps…
