I am trying to give somebody a tattoo, and I need to tuck the top part under the sleeve of the person.

The tattoo is on its own layer.

Any suggestions on how I can tuck it under the shirt?

Thanks

Do a selection on the shirt sleeve on the background layer. Copy and Paste and it will be on it’s own layer already alligned with the original. Then select the layer with the tatoo and move it under the shirt sleeve. You can specify which layer is on top under the Layer>Arrange.

Why not just create a layer mask on the tatoo layer and "erase" the portion of the tatoo that would be under the shirt?

Here’s a quick example <http://www.meltingcrayons.com/forum_images/tatoo.jpg> I did by using a layer mask on the tatoo.

Thank you Stuart, The layer mask seemed to work the best.
