Dear all:

I am using Adobe Photoshop 7& Illustrator 10 in win 98.

I have drawn some shape in Illustrator using Pen tool.

Now, I want to transfer the same shape with all nodes to Photoshop.

But when I open the Illustrator shape in Photoshop, it looks like an Image, I can’t modify any node of my original shape.

I remember once I used some technique to get the shape in with all nodes, but I forget it, I don’t know.

So, I request you anyone know the technique to transfer the vector shape from Illustrator to Photoshop in vector mode, please reply me.

Thanks.

Illustrator is Vector based, Photoshop is raster…. there is no way to do what
you are asking….

I can only assume that you are refering to taking the shape from illustrator and importing
to PS as a mask…. (i.e. with points and bezier curves…..)

This may give you what you need….

If you ‘Select all’ in Illustrator then ‘Copy’ you can then ‘Paste’ into Photoshop and a dialog box will allow you to paste it as a Shape, which is a vector format within Photoshop
