Here’s the stats for this NG:
Number of posts (in last 1221 posts):
1. Hecate 87
2. Voivod 69
3. Stephan 62
4. MArtin Chiselwitt 25
5. Alan 23
6. Rich 22
7. Branko Vukelic 21
8. Paul Furman
9. Mike Russel 20
10. Dr. J. Smith 16
And the winner is, of course, Hecate, with Stephan in the second place. Voivod was disqualified because flaming doesn’t count. Sorry, Voivod.
Newsreaders:
1. MS Outlook Express 617 / 185 = 3.35 ppu (posts/users)
2. Forte Agent 251 / 40 = 6.275 ppu
3. Mozilla 119 / 20 = 5.95 ppu
4. www.Forum (?) 38 / 12 = 3.16 ppu
5. Xnews 26 / 8 = 3.25 ppu
6. XanaNews 20 / 1 = 20 ppu (oh, I’m the only one using this)
7. MS OE for Mac 17 / 7 = 2.42 ppu
8. Toth 15 / 3 = 5 ppu
9. MicroPlanet Gravity 10 / 7 = 1.42 ppu
10. MacSOUP 8 / 3 = 2.6 ppu
Looks like MSOE is still the industry standard… However, Hecate uses Forte Agent so it is the one that has most posts per users. (XanaNews has 20ppu, but it doesn’t count since I’m the only person using it.)
