The header pretty well says it. Do I understand correctly that the activation issue doesn’t apply to Macs? I have two desktops and a laptop on which I’d like to use not just PS, but the whole Creative Suite, so if I’m limited to two machines, I guess I’ll pass. I have older versions of the major players in the suite.

Right. No activation for Mac. Yet.

Obviously the bribe from Apple was enough 😉

Ha! That’s a good one. If you don’t wanna bother with activation, getchaself a Mac? How simple. 🙂

If I hadn’t been on an InDesign forum for a while, I would’ve moved on to a Mac by now. Lots of spooky shit going on at Mac’s. Shit ya never seen. :p

Just kidding, I’d never move on to Mac. :)))

This quote from Adobe’s Activation FAQ confuses me:

"Q: Why is Adobe releasing this only on Windows?

A: The first phase of our interactive activation implementation is focused on ensuring the right balance between maintaining the user experience for which Adobe is so widely known and protecting our licensed technology. Over time, we will extend activation to all applicable Adobe products and supported platforms."

So, if "ensuring the right balance between maintaining the user experience …. and protecting our licensed technology" means only requiring activation on Windows, what does that mean? That Mac users need to be able to make unlimited installations to maintain their user experience, but that Windows users don’t? That Windows users will put up with being yanked about but Mac users won’t? Or does "bribe" truly explain it?

So much for Equal Protection Under the Law, or in this case Equal Prosecution Under the Law.

Obviously the bribe from Apple was enough 😉

People who buy Macs are just more trustworthy. Usually not a wares kiddie. Usually someone who is a professional, thus not going to steal software.

This is a troll – by one of the masters of the craft (Mike C) if I’m not mistaken.

You can take the double hook out of your mouth now. I do enjoy it when "saviors" knowingly take the bait.
