After installing Photoshop CS it locks up on the plugins. Any idea how to resolve the issue. I have uninstalled and installed and it still locks up. I have 7.0 installed in another directory so this was not an upgrade.

Have you perchance nominated the 7.0 plugin folder as an additional plugin folder for CS?

If so, you will have multiple versions of the ‘built in’ filters conflicting with each other.

Have you installed any 3rd party plugins to CS?

Yes I did point to the P7 plugins. Now I can’t get back to change the preferences . I have tried installing and reinstaling and still can mot passed the plugin lock up when initiating PS CS. I did install a 3rd party filter which I have removed becasues I thought it was the problem.

You can reset your prefs outside the program. See FAQ.

Thanks for the tip. Reseting is done by holding the control, alt and shift key while intiating PS. A question pops up and asks if you want to reset your preferences.
