I am using Photoshop 7 and preparing jpeg files to be uploaded to a site that is preparing a yearbok for us. I am preparing the ads and want to place nice borders around each one. I can only find where you can put black borders around them when they print but in this case they are not being printed.

How can I do this?

Thanks

Is there any way to make fancy borders?

You can follow Larry’s advice, but use a "fancy" brush when you do the stroke.

Another option would be to use my method for creating a border. I simply set the background colour to what I want for the border and increase the canvas size. You could put a layer at the bottom of the stack [you’d need to make the current Background layer "normal" by double-clicking on its name] and putting a pattern there somehow.

There are lots of other ways. I’d just do a Google search with "Photoshop borders". You’ll turn up lots of ideas.

Have fun.
