Hi All,

I need your input.

Just installed CS and everything seems to be really slow as compared to PS7 ie opening of files, cropping, zooming etc.
PS7 was uninstalled completely before installing CS
Memory use is set to 80%
I have un-checked over 75% items in metadata

I am running XP on P4 1.8, 768MB of RD Ram with over 30Gb spare space on C: and 15Gb on D:

I put PS7 back after un-instaling CS and it worked fine , every action happened instantly.
I have as-aware/spy-botted the drives, all looks clean.

Where am I going wrong?
Any advise will be appreciated.

Why is that surprising to you? Most apps just got slower by time. It’s probably those couter-couterfeiting stuff running in the background at all times. :p

Probably , where you’re going wrong is having AutoFX Plugins, and in particular, AUtoFX Photographic Edges, loading with PS.

Thanks Hecate, yours is more useful answer.
Can I remove this at the time of installing or after installing CS?

If I were you I’d install the filters in a different folder to the normal filter folder. Then, you need to load those filters into CS *only* when you know you’re going to use them. It’s a pain in the ass, but until AutoFX does something about it there’s no other solution.
