I need a new video card & would like the groups input as to what would be your suggestion for what I have to spend, which is US$250.00. I run a flat 19" monitor. Thanks in advance,

Moe

If you only use 2D graphics like Photoshop get anything from Matrox that is within your price range.

If you use 3D intensive applications (Games…) then decisions are somewhat more complicated.

Check out the new Matrox cards. The P650 is listed at $235 and in your budget, but if I were buying today, I’d go up a bit and get the P750 for $325. Comparisons are here:
http://www.matrox.com/mga/products/comp_chart/gseries_pserie s_parhelia.cfm A check on pricegrabber shows NewEgg with the 750 in stock for $227. Hmmmm. http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?description=14-106 -154&refer=pr1 c3grabb3r
Can I interest you in a slightly used G550?

If you’re not a games player, get a Matrox G550 and spend the balance for a second monitor. Two monitors improves the Photoshop experience. – Max
