Is there a way to rename files using the Automate Batch command?

I’ve got lots of files and need their filesnames to be shorter so that I can type their pathnames in Flash easier and faster.

Parka,

If you are using version 7, you can rename them with the File Browser. Select the files then right click. Don’t change the extension as this will not CONVERT the files, rather it will just rename them.
