Is it possible to take a multipage Tif file, in Photoshop CS, and divide it up into a series of single page files.
For example, I have an 8 page Tif, I need to break it up into 8 individual files.

I am a bit confused. What exactly is a " multipage Tif file "? Are you assuming both a paper size and image dimensions that you neglect to include in your post?

I admit that I’ve not tried this recently as I no longer have any multipage tiffs.

However, there are some Third Party utils that can convert multipage tiffs to Adobe PDF, etc.

PS doesn’t seem to understand "multipage TIFF files" … such as FAX files. I would use IrfanView to resave each "page" as a separate file. http://www.irfanview.com/

Multipage tiffs are used for faxing. Some programs like Irfanview and XnView can read and write them, but Photoshop cannot.

No. Photoshop is a single-page application; the closest it gets to multi- page editing is being able to rasterize one page out of a multipage PDF file.

You can use it in conjunction with something that can pull apart and string together multipage Tiffs – as editor for one page at a time.

Oh, thanks for the info. After moving images from one place to another over several years I am surprised that I never had run into this.
