I drag down guidelines from the ruler to create a grid of the
different
areas you want. Once you have the grid completed, right click on the
title
bar of the image and select duplicate. Then, use the square
selection tool
to select the first area of the grid and crop it. The square
selection will
automatically click to the guidelines and create seamless images.
Keep
duplicating the image and cropping each grid area until you have all
of the
cropped images you need. Then insert the images into a table on your
web
page.

If I create a big image and I want to split it into several small
images
seamlessly in order to put them on the WWW, how can I do that?

Draw a square selection that completely crosses the image. Copy,
then
paste
into a new image. Go to selections>invert. Copy that. Paste into
new
image.
Get the idea?

Use Photoshop or Elements. Go to View > New Guide and enter 50% for vertical and then do it again and enter 50% for horizontal. This will divide your image into 4 equal parts. Click on your Slice Tool and click "Slices from Guides" in the Option bar at the top. This will slice the image into four equal sized images.

Go to File > Save for Web and adjust for the quality you prefer. Save as Images Only (disregard the html extension) and this will create a Folder called Images. Inside will be the four slices of your image. Open all of these new images at once and SHFT-drag three of the images into the remaining image. This will place each image in it’s own layer of a single file and will center each in the file window. Close out the other files and keep open the one with four layers. Resize this to the size of your maximum printing size (Image > Image Size).

Print each layer by selecting File > Print or Print with Preview. For the first print, all "eyes" of the layers palette will be visible. For the second print, you will need to turn off the "eye" for the top layer in the layers palette to allow the next layer to become visible. For the 3rd print, click off the eye for the layer you had just printed. For the last print, only the bottom eye should be visible.
