Loading a PSD File

Hi all,

When I load a PSD file in photoshop, sometimes (when my file has not been made by photoshop, but by another application which do PSD export) I’ve got some error. Error message is not really explicit. May I do something to have a less quiet error message ? Something to know where the error comes from ? And why not, where in the psd file, is the problem ?

What error? We can’t really help if we don’t know (word for word) what the error message says.

It’s not really the problem. What I would like to know is if it’s possible to enable an error message less quiet than the default one. I made my own PSD file, with my own application, so I would like to check if it works, and if not, where is the error bytes per bytes …

AFAIK, no. You can’t get Photoshop to give you a precise, detailed error message.

AFAIK, no. You can’t get Photoshop to give you a precise, detailed error message.

Which is particularly irritating when, say, Photoshop won’t read a file written by Illustrator, or vice versa. But that’s the way life is.
