I am trying to show an image of an exploding mirror ball any ideas? i have the mirror ball in one peice , i want it to explode ?? can it be done please

Use the Lasso Tool to select varying sized fragments and drag them to where you want them with the move tool. Repeat until satisfied. Copy the final layer and add a radial blur to give it sense of motion. Reduce the opacity of this layer until it looks cool.

There is an analog solution. Take a disco-ball into the back yard. Take a before-picture. Shoot the sucker. Take an after picture. It might not look great, but a lot of us will feel a whole lot better.
