Hello,
I wonder why in PS, the PCX image can be moved. However, if the image type is changed to RGB, then the image will be fixed in its position; it is because the image is now in a locked layer. This feature can sometimes be troublesome. Say for example, the whole image is moved across by one pixel which is not terribly much when the zoon is set to 100%. This unintentional change of position can cause trouble later when the designer wishes to, say, quadruple the image. Is there a way to fix the PCX image in PS. In Photoimpact there is no such problem.

I appreciate any reply

Just lock or unlock layers as you please in the ‘layers’ pallet.
