I regularly save a certain kind of photo as a JPEG for use on a website. Typically, with Photoshop 7 the file size would be somewhere around 30k. With exactly the same settings in Photoshop CS the size comes out to about 90k ! What gives? I have to go back to 7 every time I want to do this particular operation. Help!

Phil,

Use Save for Web. That way you can ensure that ONLY the image data and none of the meta-data is being saved

OK, thanks. That certainly works although it is a little more roundabout. The results in file size are actually better as well so I guess it’s time for a new habit!
