camera raw/windows XP pro

I recently upgraded to Windows XP Pro. I reinstalled all my software successfully with the exception of Camera Raw which I had previously purchased from the online store. Camera Raw will not come up when I open a raw file in Photoshop 7. Does Camera Raw work with WXP Pro??????.
A side note…..contacting Adobe with a question is harder than pulling teeth from a chicken!

I formatted the hard drive and started from scratch. All the other software works fine.
