I have a folder full of pictures that I had already edited through PSA hence I have all x.jpg and x_edited.jpg files. I had removed a lot of thumbnails while editing but now want to bring them back into PSA. Rather than importing the files one by one – as this is around 50 photos – I reimported the whole folder thinking that PSA would be smart enough not to import everyhting.

I ended up with 2 thumbnails for each photo – the original and the edited as 2 distinct files. PSA does not recognize the linkage between the 2 files. If I edit the xxx_edited.jpg file, I end up with xxx_edited_dited.jpg file. How can I fix this problem and tell PSA hat xxx.jpg and xxx_edited.jpg are actually linked. Or how does PSA recognize 2 files as one being the editied version of the second?
