Can anyone tell me how I get the normal windows file browser to display PSD files as thumbnails? All other picture file types display OK. Please note that my query is not with Photoshop’s browser, but the standard windows XP one. Many thanks.

This worked for me on a Mac. You could try it on the PC.

Photoshop CS has a Maximize File Compatibility under the File Handling Preference. Change that to Never and see if that helps.

If that is set to always the file format changes to be compatible with PSD but not with anything else.

Re-install the buggy psicons.dll, if you can find a copy. Be prepared for performance and crashing issues.
