Help!!! Like I said up in the subject line it must not have downloaded completely or something…Winzip popped up and the little download bar disappeared, when clicked on the box to start winzip, it said that the file was invalid and now I cant find it on my hard drive!! Does anyone know what is going on at all???!! I am on dial up, and this is the second time in 2 months I have had a problem downloading adobe photoshop the first time it crashed my computer, and I had to reformat my hard drive, now winzip is telling me that it is an invalid file. Now I cant find it in my files anywhere…I really wanted to try out this program before I bought it, but how do I try it when I cant even get it to install, or even find it??!!

* deep breath* I am very appreciative of any help whatsoever

I’m not sure what the probem is, but downloading a file that size with a dial up is certainly not a sure thing. Perhaps you have a friend with high speed connection that could download it for you.

Sorry but I dont know anyone who has a faster version of the web.. and I am unable to get a faster connection at this time, Do you possibly know what is going on? It took all of the 8 hours to download, and I looked up similar problems, but My download didnt jump megabytes at all…I have seen what can be done with photoshop and I wanted to see if I liked it before I went out and spent all the money on one little program..Know what I mean? I have a pretty quick computer, though I dont know all the specs on it, though I do know that I have an intel celeron. and windows xp home version, along with a pretty sweet graphics card though I dont know how to find the name of it…How do I go about finding this file as well, I did a complete search of what I thought was the file name, but brought up nothing. Also tried a manual search, but didnt find anything photoshop or Adobe in the file names…

Amber,

The filename is AdobePhotoshopCS.zip, but you have already indicated that you had a corrupt download, and so all you can do when you locate it is to delete that file.

Are there any internet cafés in your area with broadband connections and CD writing facilities? That would be an alternative.

Sounds like you tried to open the file, instead of downloading it. If everything goes well, it doesn’t necessarily matter, but it’s usually best to download a file [right mouse click th elink and select Save Target], then open it "offline".
