A tutorial to create a new image? As for the program, uh, try Photoshop:

File: New
Width: 5175
Height: 3375
Resolution: 300 pixels/inch

Beefy machine, carload of RAM and an extra hard drive for swap files… oh, and,
having met the folks who actually do these things (in Miami last fall) Photoshop.

As to the tutorial, I don’t know of one on line, but Scott Kelby was teaching a class
in Eurocollage at Photoshop World, so if you know someone with the session books
maybe they could lend them to you….(no, I won’t scan mine for you…that whole
pesky copyright thing) and there’s a "construction kit" with instructions at http://www.graphicauthority.com/member_specials.asp

My remark is related to this point: "Lurking means you don’t post, how can you know what people who aren’t posting are enjoying or not?", which I consider to be correct. Lurking is, by definition, postless.

The remark was made in response to: "I can’t help but wonder how many people have you in their kill file Voivod. Must be considerable."

I don’t know how you get from my remark to "ignorant", and "disrespecting people trying to get help"… Besides, I can’t see why the post I replied to can be any more helpful than that of mine.

I must remind you do not own the thread. You just started it, and it began living a life of its own, aided constantly by other participants of the news group. This is neither the first nor the last time a thread goes in a "wrong" direction. The bottom line is, don’t take every post, in the thread you start, too personal.
