I say do not. I never had any problems with 7 and CS is causeing me problems. Most of the features I use are already in 7 and the new stuff in CS is not that great. Maybe it should have been a 7.5 however marketing always wins out. Some changes I wish they did not do like teh file browser not being dockable or able to move to a second monitor.
Also, if you have to ask, then you should not upgrade, unless it is if teh new version is stable which it is not.
Of course I am speaking from my experience with the program which may work for others.
Why not download the trial version for CS and see for yourself? The best judge to determine how this will work for you is yourself. I only say this because I disagree with pretty much everything Malameel said so who is right?
I have a question for CS users… Have any of you experienced the problem with saving that I have and many others have in 7.0?
I agree with Stuart that you have to decided for yourself, but in your original post, you seem to already know your answer and I therefore stand by the statement that if you do not know why you are upgrading then you should not, especially since you say you have done your research on CS.
Some of the new features may mean allot to some, but will they do so for you and your wallet? I have enough gripes with CS that I may have waited for updates before buying. The new features really do not impress me, and it seems so much slower, (but that is being address in other posts.) As far as the save, I have never had any saving problems with any version, but I never really had any bugs untill CS.
question for CS users, can you add a direction to the motion blur yet ? I know the work around…just wondering if that got upgraded yet. The Screen Savers show had Bert Monroy on it again last week and he went over some of the upgrades. I’m impressed.
Best is to read about the differences on the Adobe website. Some of the best features are Shadow/Highlight, a better FileBrowser, but there are too many to go into here. There are a *lot* of new features.
