I have a feeling there’s a simple solution to this question, but I’m not familiar enough with Photoshop yet to figure it out on my own. Basically, there’s a color in a jpeg I have that I want to make my desktop background color. Is there a way to select/save it from the photo in Photoshop and then export it so that I can use it as my desktop background color? Any help would be much appreciated. I’m using Photoshop CS by the way. Thanks.

Well, let’s see how close your monitor is to PS. 🙂 Take the eyedropper to sample the color you want, then see the ‘info’ window. The RGB values are there. Copy them down. Then go to your desktop (right click on desktop, take properties, click the desktop tab, take color, then Other. See the right side – R G B boxes. Fill them in. See how close you get. 🙂 (I have to believe there’s a better hack somewhere.)
