? re document size for the web

Hi,

I’m trying to put together a simple personal web site.
I want the opening page to have an attractive abstact look and want to slice it up in photoshop.

The question I have is this: what’s the recommended document size for the opening page to the site?

It depends on the resolution the viewer will use.
Most design for 800×600 resolution, taking the MSIE browser into account you need a page size off 779×419 thats the browser viewing area at 800×600 res. If you centre justify the page it looks ok at higher resolutions too.

Last tip remove all margins, they are usualy set to on by default in web programs like dreamweaver.
