I uninstalled Netscape. Now when I do a "Save for Web…" I always get a "Missing Shortcut" dialog box looking for netscape.exe. I hit cancel and the Save for Web window comes up.

Any ideas on how to get this fixed? Thank you.

I have Photoshop 7 on a Windows XP machine.

Herlich,

Assuming the uninstall of Netscape leaves you only with Internet Explorer on your PC, you might check to ensure that Internet Explorer is now your default browser. This is done by going to Control Panel > Internet Options and then the Programs tab sheet. There you will find a check box to enable IE to check if it is the default browser. Ensure the box is checked, then start up IE. If prompted to make IE the default, do so. Then, close IE and see if the Save for Web behavior works properly in PS7. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Good luck,

Daryl

Herlich,

Look in your Helpers Folder and delete the shortcut to Netscape should there be one there

Thank you Daryl. Thank you Len. I already had IE as my default browser, Daryl, but thanks anyway.

Like Len said, there was a netscape shortcut in:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Helpers\Preview In

After I deleted it, the nagging "Missing Shortcut" window disappeared.
