This would seem like a printer issue but if you would care to try to make a more complete and clear question, I’m sure someone here can help.

Adjusting the print size does not do it, if you mean the print command or printer set up windows. The print size is defined by the Image>Image Size menu item inside PS. Or perhaps I do not understand the problem.

when getting ready to print a notice comes up saying "the image is larger then the papers printable area- some cropping may occur" sometimes its maginable and sometimes the picture seems to have been zoomed in and most of picture is cropped
It’s a very clear cut message.
It means that your image is larger than the printer can print on the chosen paper size and/or orientation.
Sometimes, if it’s "close", you don’t notice the clipping they way the borders fall off to white.
Remember, most printers can’t print 8.5 x 11 image on 8.5 x 11 inch paper. Inkjets may need .25 to .5 inch border (and generally, "bottom" has largest unprintable area due to paper handling in the printer).

the problem seems to be between what is shown to me in adobe and what is printed out…example..picture of the two boys holding cat from about 8-9 feet away…when printed the picture seems to zoom in and reproduces the picture closer to 4-5 feet away …so instead of having a medium close up shot i have a close up which is not the original picture that was taken or shown to me in adobe.
thanks for any and all input so far
