Can somebody help me with PS v3.0 Getting error: "There is not enough memory (RAM) to launch Photoshop"?

My PC is a P4 1400MHz, 1.40GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM. I think this should be enough.

Is there a fix out there that could help me?

Run it on a Win 3.1 or 95 partition?

You might search the Web for Cacheman, a free utility to help manage that big chunk of RAM.

I’ll second the recommendation for PS Elements or for a few bucks more you are eligible to upgrade to PS CS.

r_harvey – Thanks for the direction, but were can I get information on running this software? The FAQ and Help is not that user friendly.

Sae-Ang:

What you are missing here is that Photoshop 3 will not run on your system – PERIOD!

If you have a legitimate version, you should contact Customer Service about an upgrade.

With rebates PS elements is around $20 these days and is bundled with scanners, digital cameras etc. It is better than PS3. Save PS3 for its antique value.

Or sell it to someone who wants it for upgrading.

kevin, you can’t be having the same problem. you have a version that should run fine under 98 (the problem was v3 under xp). please start a new thread and state you full problem in as much detail as you can.

That would be cool! I’m still using "Display". Can I upgr to v3.3 or should I first buy "Barneyscan" and then upgrade?

And will that work on my Vic 20?

And will that work on my Vic 20?

Only if you have the version that was distributed on Cassette Tapes instead of diskettes.

I must be older than dave. I remember writing some programs and saving them on punched paper tape. It was so wonderful when IBM cards started being used. What an upgrade.
