Mac Photoshop 7 vs. Win Photoshop 6

Hi!
My friend sent me a Mac PS 7 PSD file. I have Win PS 6, and I cannot open it for some reason…. Hmmmmm…. is this a compatibility issue? How can we get around it??

I am going to upgrade soon, but now PS CS is out…What to do??

Look here – < http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=1851> Down the list of fixes about 1/2 way. Your friend needs to upgrade to 7.01.
