Hello All,

I’m trying to find out some specific information about documentation for Photoshop.

1) Do any print-based documents come with the product (eg: User Guide, Primer, etc)? If so, how many pages in each?

2) Do any electronic documents come with the product itself (eg: html-based, PDFs, etc)

3) Is an internet connection required to access program-based help? In other words, is help installed on the user’s system or does Adobe require an internet connection to their site?

4) Finally, does the product ship with any tutorials?

Many, many thanks for any specific information!

Steve,

1. If you buy Photoshop CS individually, you will get a printed user manual. If you buy it as part of the Creative Suite, the user manual is in PDF format on the CD.

2. Yes, the CD includes PDF versions of the manual.

3. The help files are local as far as I know.

4. I’m at work and I forget exactly but I think there is a tutorial CD included.

My PS CS came with the printed "Users Manual" along with a second disc that contained a video training CD. The video only covers the basics of the new features in CS.

All of the help files are HTML-based locally.
