I have a set of prints that I believe some light got into the negatives before they were developed . As a result everything has a cloudy hazy look about them .when they are blown up they appear very grainy with most of the detail gone ….is there any hope ??? mjh

Before you do anything dip your negs in a fresh bath of fixer. Bad fixing results in what you describe, if you are lucky that would fix it. Good luck.

Stephan is right on the money, provided these are black and white negatives. and they have a milky look to them.

Why not scan one of them and see what some of us can do with it? —

You would need to upload it to a web page such as www.ofoto.com, and then post a pointer to the web page. It takes a little work to register, but it’s free.
