I’m not really sure if this can be answered or not. But I have to try something. I’ve got Photoshop 7 and am having trouble loading images in all formats. Now, opening the images aren’t problem. Zooming in on them, is.

I have included with this post, two different screen capped images. The first one is at normal size. The second one though, is zoomed in one time. This is where my problem comes in. I keep getting this color ‘bars’ or ‘grids’ and the only way I can make them disappear is when I use the wand to highlight areas.

Now, I’ve un-installed and reinstalled this six times already and it’s still doing it. I didn’t have this problem before I had to reformat my hard drive and ImageReady works just fine. Can anyone help or am I stuck with only using IR?

Chaeree,

Did you install the latest drivers for your video card when you reformatted the hard drive?

Fred.

either drivers or the card itself may be misseated.

I installed the newest version of DirectX after the re-format, if that is what you’re referring to. But it hasn’t helped any. My display adapter is Ati 3D Rage Lt Pro

I run a Windows 98 OS and most of what I have in the system came pre-installed (aside from the things I added in later). So, I have no idea what would be best to update the video card with.

direct x is microsoft’s 3d routines. go to ati (www.ati.com), go to support and look for drivers. look up your driver and os and you’ll get the latest. install that.
