Hello
I’m a recent newcomer to Elements 2.0 and I’m having a problem with an error message that I
get occasionally and can’t seem to find an answer. When I copy an object in a photograph or
do some other operation, I get the message "Could not complete the ___ command because
no pixels are selected." I’ve looked at several books and sites but found no real answer as to
what I’m doing wrong. Any help here?

TIA
Richard

You are trying to something that requires an area of the image (i.e. some pixels) to be selected, but you haven’t selected any yet! Use one of the selection tools, such as the Marquee tool, to select an area of the image, and try again…

Another possible exlanation for the "no pixels are selected" message, is that Richard thinks he has selected the image, but he is making the selection on the wrong Layer. It may look like he has selected what he wants, but in fact he may be trying to select from a layer that is blank, or at least is blank in the area that he’s selecting.

So, he might want to use the Layers menu to make sure he has highlighted the Layer that has the image he wants to copy, before he selects and then copies it.
