Win XP, Photoshop 7.0.1, 1Gb Ram – Has anyone else encountered this error message when trying to open an eps file? I’ve never had this problem before and now it occurs with every eps file I try to open. I know it’s not the files because they open fine on another machine. They also open in Illustrator. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop but no luck. Help! Deadlines are looming…

Thanks!
Scott

I’ve seen it but if it’s happening on every file, you could try trashing your prefs. Details are in the FAQ.

Scott,

Can you Place an EPS into a ready opened document?

Can you Cut ‘n paste from Illustrator?

Can you drag ‘n drop from Il to an open doc in Photoshop?

Does anyone have a suggestion to open in Illustrator 8 an eps file created in Arcview? I used to be able to open these, but since we updated our Arcview software to 8.2, I get a message that says the file cannot be parsed. Any help/ideas?

Did you mean to post this in the Illustrator forum, Elizabeth??
