Maurice,
Are you sure you uninstalled it? or did you just delete the shortcut in the Startup folder? I didn’t think it could be "uninstalled" . Hopefully you just deleted the shortcut to the loader file and you can drag it back into "startup" again. Search for "Adobe Gamma Loader.exe" on your c: drive and when you find it , create a shortcut to it in the startup folder. ( Hope this is all you need , and actual uninstall or deletion probably means reinstall Photoshop ).

rerunning adobe gamma from the control panel will recreate the shortcut in startup.
NO, unfortunately I did not think to simply remove Gamma from the Startup menu. I used the Add/Remove Programs function from the Control Panel to delete the program. In fact, Adobe Gamma Loader.exe module is still. It just has nothing to load. (A little knowledge is a dangerous thing indeed.)
In case you are wondering why, I found there was a conflict between Gamma and the Color Profile settings utility from my video card (Matrox). Looks like I in for a complete reinstall of Photoshop after I save the preferences file.
Brent, I checked out the link you posted…great site.
A reinstall of Photoshop will not overwrite your preferences.
