So I just got PS-CS. First thing I noticed is that the pallets all float outside the main working window, or outside the PS environment. How do I get them to stay within the app itself so they don’t float outside.

Thanks!

Hi Rick,

You can’t confine the GUI elements to stay within the PS window. The virtue of their working as they do is that it facilitates moving them off to a secondary monitor, if you have a dual-monitor configuration. Apart from that, I don’t know of any advantage to the approach, but I think it’s one you’ll get used to, especially if you wind up toggling them off (TAB and SHIFT-TAB) for a more clutter-free display and start using keyboard shortcuts more often (for those who like shortcuts).

Daryl

Daryl…

Hey thanks for the info! I do have the ability to use duel moniters if I ever get an extra PCI card.

Thanks again!

The quickest way you can get them back inside your workspace if they do get out is Windows>Workspace>Reset Palette Locations.

Hope that is helpful.
