I’ve been using Photoshop Elements for a while now and I just got Photoshop 7.0 today. After I installed it and opened up some pictures they were all really really dark. It was never that way in Photoshop Elements and when I view them in my Windows (XP Pro) they look fine there too. I haven’t got a new monitar or adjusted the color settings at all. Do I have some weird default set in Photoshop or what? Please help, I’d love to get editing asap! =)

Thanks

Chad

Chad,

I think you must run Adobe Gamma. This should be in Control Panel. If you hav Win XP it may be helpfull to switch to classic view.

Run the Gamma utility as a wizard.

BTW: make sure your PS version is 7.01
