Note : I found out that Photoshop 7 preset manager has been improved but I only own Photoshop 6. If you have any remarks about P7 manager, don’t hesitate to post. Is the P7 manager that great ? Anyway I plan to try it out.

Hi,

I’m looking for an advanced swatches preset manager for Photoshop 6. IMHO The features available to manage swatches are far too limited. You can’t drag a color for example or insert a new one beside an existing one. But you can delete one pressing Alt, insert/queue a new one, rename a color…

I would like to move colors to order them by categories, gradient types and use all these swatches for my website and designs.

I can’t find any answers in my manuals nor in my handy Mastering Photoshop 6 book.

I found ColorImpact, Color Schemer, Color Schemes and other tools on Google but I can’t just try them all. I need a Photoshop plugin or at least a tool that allows me to import/export my swatches. I could use a "all-in-one" tool in order to use these swatches in Dreamweaver MX but actually I just need a Photoshop swatches preset manager.

Do you know such a tool or plugin ?
Do you use a color manager ?
Any tips about handling colors for web design ?

Actually I first write my color chart then create it within Photoshop. But when it comes to update the swatches… Photoshop "basic" preset manager can’t really help.

Thanks in advance,
JM
