Hello

I’ve just bought a web site template. The file comes as a Photoshop PSD file.

I’ve got Adobe Photoshop 5.0 Limited Edition – and the following two messages appear when i try to load the file.

"This file contains adjustment layers. Adjustment layers are not supported by Photoshop Limited Edition. Discard and continue ?"

AND

"This file contains layer effects information. Layer effects are not supported by Photoshop Limited Edition. Discard and continue ?"

What version is the minimum for having the above functionality ? (ie. version 5, 6, 7 ?)

Cheers

Jonathan

I’m not sure any version of PS LE (now called Elements) supports those things. Real Photoshop back to 4 has Adjustment Layers I believe. Layer Effects/Styles is a trickier issue. It depends on what version of Photoshop the template was made in. A psd made in 7 will not work perfectly in 6 for instance, but you can usually deal with it.

Bottom line: you need Photoshop, not LE or Elements.

The only upgrade you can buy is Photoshop CS.
I think you can get the upgrade for $299.

Adjustment layers were introduced in Version 3.0.

As for layer effects I’m not sure.
