Product: Photoshop CS
Version: 8.o
Platform: Windows XP
Scenario:
I have a text layer with a layer mask. Using the text tool, I select all of the text in my layer. Returning to the tool palette, I click on the "foreground color chip" to launch the color picker dialog. Placing my mouse over my image, outside of the dialog so that my cursor changes to a dropper, I select a color in my image. The gradiated color square in the color picker dialog blinks once (goes to white then back to the gradient) without selecting my color. Bummer.
Upon further experimentation, it looks like the layer won’t maintain focus on the text portion. It keeps switching over the the layer mask portion every time I click my text tool onto the text. This focus issue doesn’t interfere with my typing, but it is preventing me from changing the color of my type.
So sad 🙁
