I can’t suggest an answer to your problem but will say that while registration is attached to your name and address, activation supposedly is not. The value of registration is that you can contact Adobe in the event of a lost or damaged installation CD and obtain a replacement. Also any future problems with serials numbers and such are more quickly resolved with Adobe’s help when that have that information on file for you.

give it a day. maybe the reg server’s having problems. or you can call and register on the phone.
If you are having that much trouble, you should call Adobe Customer Support and they’ll walk you through the registration.
