I’ve been using PS for awhile (currently v7) mostly just for basic graphic and photo manipulation stuff. I currently am working on a project that requires text inserted onto an image. This is new to me.

The prob I’m having is that when I use the text tool to type the text onto the image, it is quite blurry. I’m using papryus font set at 14 on a 5×7 image. No matter what size I set the font, or really what font I use, it appears blurry. This is why I’m thinking there’s a basic thing I’m unaware of.

Any tips would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks.

I’d use a higher resolution at least 200, also make sure you hav anti-aliasing on in your text options. Most professionals don’t use P for text, they’ll use a vector program like corel, illustrator freehand etc, theres many but my suggestion should help
