P’shop Eles, actually.

Either I don’t have the patience or the skill to get a magic wand selection right the first time and so I usually want to go back and nudge-up an irregular wand selection to get it right.
This to me would seem to be a simple thing.
Like going and making a cup of coffee before completing a selection job, then resuming. (Seems wand selections have to be closed loops before they stick.)
But I can’t find a reference to ‘editing/adjusting selections’ anywhere.

Anyone know of a method?
Thx.

When you select the magic wand tool, PS shows three boxes in the tool display. One shows just a box by itself, another shows two boxes overlapping, and another shows a box within a box.

What you need to do it to enable the overlapping boxes because that instructs PS to add the selections together.

Hmm. Thanks, Keith.
Trouble is, not only is it Pshop Eles, but Vn 1 as well. Transform Selection isn’t there….
Anything else possible?
Thx.

Yes, I see that, thanks Jim.
(It’s PE1 btw)
It’s a slightly less than optimal way of moving a selection around, don’t y think?
Can’t say I’d design something like that…
Any idea if PS7 or even PE2 is any better? Any nudging possible? (Aren’t beziers adjustable?)
Thx.

Magic Wand tool is a waste of time. I don’t use Elements but have a look and see if it has Background erase or Quick mask. Use these on a new dup layer. ”(Aren’t beziers adjustable?)” Yes they are, they come under the Pen tool. This is the best for selections but takes a bit of practice before it becomes second nature. Any curve (Or line) can be adjusted by placing an anchor at any point you wish.

What I described is the PS7 method. There are probably other ways to accomplish this task because, as we all know, there are at least three ways to perform any task..
