I want to start making albums on dvd for my customers, and wonder if any of you do this, and what programs are best for it. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bill

I made some slideshows and primitive movies with Roxio EZ-CD creator. It’s simple to use and creates .wma files. There are templates too with themed shows, you just add the pictures.
I have also used the windows movie maker that came with my comp. I think too you can just put some files on a DVD and most comps nowadays will just autoplay them.

You could try the free ‘Photostory 3’ from Microsoft – looks like it might
be what you need!!!

Roxio EZ CD player has some DVD shows, they create wma format movies Also the Windows Movie maker comes with Windows I think, (free) I made this movie
http://d529182.u33.infinology.net/HH/Cats1.zip with the Roxio one. you can also add music if you want to.

Both have templates you just put in your photos. Or manually add transitions and effects.
very easy to learn software.

By far the best software I’ve found for that is Pro Show Gold. You can check it out at: http://www.photodex.com/

I like Google’s free Picasa 2 (google for it), which is a simple, sophisticated, image cataloging, editing, acquisition, and viewing system. It can burn autorun CDs that do not require the user have Picasa, but I don’t know about DVDs. Anyway, it’s worth a look.
