I have about 150 images on a Lexar 512MB SD memory card at present. When I download them with my SIIG 6-in-1 card reader, the first 120 or so, display properly as thumbnails on my computer monitor. but the last 30 or so do not show up as thumbnails.
When I double click the no-shows, to open them in Photoshop, PS gives me the following message.
" Photoshop cannot open this image because an incorrect or invalid .jpeg marker type is present"
What causes this and how can I fix it so I can access my images from the card to work on them?

are you using the windows wizard or other software?are you sure they are jpgs?? cause Tiff or raw will not download in windows picture wizard. you can trying to copy the card files direct to the computer and opening the last ones to find out if it is the download program or the actual file making the problem.
Lexar has a free file recovery program too. it came with my cards. are you sure they are jpgs?? cause Tiff or raw will not download in windows picture wizard.

Yep! They are definitely jpegs
When I click my cursor on the space where the thumbnail shoud be, Windows tells me the size, date and that it is a jpeg.

I get that problem sometimes… its called NOT ENOUGH RAM!!!!!

buy more ram, close some app’s, or decrease the number of images in the folder to 25 or less.

It has to do with the generation of the thumbnails. sometimes you can just close the window and then maneuver your way through my computer (or your nearest
folder you can click on) back to that folder and they will appear. but I blame it directly on the available system ram.
