Does anyone have any recommendations for a 3rd party plugin that may be used as a superior alternative to PS’s native MagicWand tool?

I am stuck trying to lift out objects who’s edges have been anti-aliased against a white background. I have used PS’s magicwand against the RGB pic and also against individually created CYMK layers reducing sensitivity as I progress, but I’m still either grabbing too much or too little.

Maybe what I am looking for does not exist, or maybe my technique is all wrong. However, before throwing in the towel, I wanted to respectfully ask the experts in this NG for your kind help and suggestions.

Thank you in advance for any help you can render.
regards,
trainwreck

Try using filter->extract, or read the help on quick masks (very neat).
