Is there a Ctrl, Alt, Shift, list for the Tools?

I’ve found plenty of keyboard shortcut lists for Photoshop, but I’m looking for a list that will tell you what happens when you hold down ctrl, alt, shift, or a combination for each of the tools. There’s no way I can remember them all. It would be nice to have a reference sheet. Anyone know if anything like that exists?

In CS2, go to HELP then in Search type: keys shortcuts

There’s the tables of shortcuts with all key combinations. In the menu bar there is an option to Print the page(s)

That’s the same thing as the keyboard shortcuts I’ve found online. I want a list that tells me, for instance, what happens when you’re using the Freeform Pen tool and you hold down Alt….or Shift….etc…

Once again, I’m *not* talking about keyboard shortcuts….. I’m talking about how you access the additional options of a tool. For example, if you’re using the rectangular marquee tool and want to draw a perfect square, you hold down Shift while making your selection. Or, if you’re using the Pen Tool, holding down Shift and clicking will set your points at 45 degrees to each other. It’s the stuff that they usually at the bottom of the Photoshop screen while you’re using a particular tool….. I’m just looking for it all in one place……

Don’t you have the hard tri-fold card that comes with Photoshop that lists all the shortcuts and options? Generally, they usually involve alone or in combination the ALT, SHFT and CTRL keys. The spacebar comes into play if you want to move a selection while making it. Other keys include the arrow keys, the 0 (zero) key, the Backspace key, the \ key, Enter, Esc…

No, I don’t have the tri-fold card. Is that what I’m looking for? Can I download a copy from the web?

I haven’t seen the card since about v4. Even when I upgraded from 2 -> 3 -> 4, the heavy stock (laminated?) card came with the upgrade. Of course, that was also in a time, when Adobe also sent a book, that said more than "see Help." I’ve printed out the PDF (and a few others) mentioned, but would also like to have a "cheat sheet." Most often, I just mouse, and use keyboard shortcuts for certain operations. If anyone has a URL to such a chart, there is a bit of a market for one.

Dang, and I always thought that Adobe liked me best! <G> Out of sheer curiosity, are these shipped with your upgrades, or did you, for some reason, buy the full version of each of these? I really liked the card, but then I also liked the F-key template from WordPerfect, back in the Orem, UT/US days. I guess that I’ll just add five-dozen sticky-notes to the monitor bezels! Thanks for the info.

I have them both and they seem to act as a wrestling tag team ;o) And I mean the "catch-as-catch-can" kind, not the actual sport.
Seriously, it’s between the two of them! It took me a couple of days or arm wrestling with the darn Acrobats to finally have pdf in Firefox come up with "Save as" instead of launching, but now it’s stable.
Also – and this is a long shot, but you never know – make sure you have the latest Firefox (it’s 1.0.3 right now). Final thought, I never had Firefix crash on me so maybe there’s something else going on?

P.S. Just for a laugh (what other reason may there be ;o)) but have you tried it with "Exploder"? Does it also, erm… explode when invoking a pdf file?

I shall have to give that a go. And Netcaptor which I also have (it uses the IE engine but has tabs and stuff, am more security fixes <g>).

It shouldn’t be this bl**dy difficult just to download a file <sigh>

Seriously though, Firefox usually shouts when there’s a new version (the little red icon in the upper right corner). But maybe that’s for critical updates only.
