Hi folks,

What do you think and know from your experience is the best monitor for graphics in PS? I’ve been through a lot of reviews but they have no reference to graphics and design.

Thank you in advance

My preference: <http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?id=10037>

I would be lying if I said I knew what the best was and by who’s standards the best is determined. I find the Lacie more than satisfactory with a great price point.

I second LaCie for a 19". I use one and am happy with it.

Get a calibration device with it. ColorVision is nice, and their customer service extraordinary. My crt pickup, the spyder, went out way beyond the warranty period and it took only 5 minutes on the phone to get a free (including shipping) replacement.

I use Lacie electron 22in
I doubt the 19in is any different other than size
and I am very satisfied

Thank you for your input, guys.
I also tried looking for reviews for those monitors and was not able to find only one negative on the web. So I would appreciate if you agree or disagree with this guy. Here’s the review:

Sometimes we just get a little to caught up on reviews. They are helpful but what whe want is not often what we really need :-).

I think you should (if possible), take one of your favorite images to a place where they have the monitors in question, see if you like it. Of course if their colors are off, all bets are out. There are differences. I definitely notice a differece between my Samsung (main) and my KDS (second) monitor.

Sergi,

Taking Otto’s suggestion one step further, there is a free demo of DisplayMate at <http://www.displaymate.com/demos.html> which you could save to a diskette and take along with you to any store. If you find a monitor you like that is connected to a PC, you could use the diskette to evaluate some aspects of the monitor’s geometry accuracy.

Daryl

Hi jconley,

Could you please tell me how long have you been using this monitor. The only review I found about electronblue monitors on the web was negative saying this monitor experiences color shifts to the point of being unusable after 1-2 years of usage.

Thank you in advance.
