How does one copy a layered PSD into an existing PSD while preverving the layers of the first (adding them to the second)?

Thanks.

First link all the layers in PSD number one, and then drag and drop them as a group into PSD number two.

Provided the images are the same dimension, if you hold down the shift key when dragging layers onto second image they will be in registration.

Ahh, thank you. That meets my needs.

But, theoretically, what would one do if there were already mutually exclusive linking established in the original PSD?

Easiest way: link the layers together in the Layers palette, then use the Move tool to drag from the first document window to the second. All the linked layers will be moved.

Well, one could always just temporarily link things together, but what if a bunch of links had already been established. (And i was thinking there MIGHT be some situations where things could be mutually exclusive, but maybe not.)

Oh, and I guess you could make a NULL LAYER, like a null in 3d apps, and just link everything to that too.

BTAIMay, making/dragging a Layer Set seems the cleanest way.
