Hi there.

I have been using Photoshop for many years and over the last few years I have been printing out scans and digital photos using PC Photoshop 7 and an Epson 1290. I have recently moved to an iMac G5 and am finding that I am getting adistinct red cast on all of my print outs. Dropping the magenta in the printing does help but I can’t seem to compensate for it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When someone has a red or magenta cast for an Epson printer the first thing I think about is double profiling.

Make sure when printing that the Source Space is set to your document, not a proof color space, and that your output "Print Space" is set to using Printer Color Management. The second one is where double profiling can occur, if your print space is set to the printer profile. These options are hidden in Print Preview in CS and CS2.

Your driver settings, which are separate from Photoshop, should reflect the proper profile, or Photoenhance4.

That worked fine. I took all of the photoshop settings out – set the printer up to us no correction and everything came out exactly as I scanned it.

Thanks very much for the timely help.
