Problems importing Illustrator CS paths to PSCS. Please help!

All I’m trying to do is copy and paste an Illustrator CS path into Photoshop CS. I can get the path into PSCS, but it is squished from top to bottom. Side to side scale is fine, but top to bottom is squished. Any ideas? The Illustrator forum had little imput.
